Rise & Change
Making room for other people’s creativity.
I know what encouragement can mean. When someone takes your creativity seriously, it can change how you see yourself and what you believe you can do.
I founded Rise & Change in 2025 to share that possibility with children and young people. We create spaces where they can paint, move, experiment and contribute their own ideas.
Our main programme
Trygga rum för barn och unga
Through our programme, Trygga rum för barn och unga—safe spaces for children and young people—we bring art, dance, movement, storytelling and creative reuse into schools, after-school activities, school holidays and community settings.
I bring my experience as a multidisciplinary artist and teacher into this work, alongside our leaders and collaborators. There is room to try something new, make choices and discover a personal way of expressing yourself.
Art & creative reuse
Painting, mixed media and everyday materials become starting points for imagination. Participants explore what a material can become and make something of their own.
Dance & movement
Rhythm and movement create opportunities to express ideas, build confidence and connect with others. Each participant can find their own way into the activity.

Our Upplands Väsby school initiative brings art, dance and creative exploration into children’s everyday surroundings. It is part of Trygga rum för barn och unga, our wider programme.

Schools & community collaborators
Our school collaborations include Viraskolan, Bollstanässkolan, Askebyskolan, Ekebo anpassad grundskola and Brageskolan. We bring dance and creative activities into the school day and work with each setting to make space for children’s own ideas.
We also collaborate with Sollentuna bibliotek, bringing creative activities into a community setting.
The Upplands Väsby school initiative is part of Trygga rum för barn och unga, our wider programme developed by Rise & Change.
Funding & partnerships
Programme activities have received funding from United Soul and Skandia Idéer för livet.
The school initiative is delivered in collaboration with Upplands Väsby municipality, which supports leader time and materials.
These relationships help us bring art, dance and creative reuse to more children and young people.
Our practice in action
This is what the programme looks like in practice: paint on the table, ideas taking shape and children making something they can call their own. We guide the activity and leave room for each participant’s choices.

Why this work matters
We believe children and young people deserve places where they can be themselves, try something unfamiliar and have their ideas taken seriously. Not everyone has the same access to creative activities. Through art, dance and making things together, we create opportunities to express yourself, meet others and feel part of something.
These moments need people, materials, time and space. Supporting Rise & Change helps us provide the conditions for this work: prepared leaders, creative supplies and welcoming places to gather. Whether you contribute funding, materials, a venue or your skills, you help us make room for more young voices.
Creativity beyond the school day
Our work continues through school holidays, community activities and creative gatherings. Children and young people need places to meet, move and make things together throughout the year.
Rise & Move
Rise & Move brings dance, rhythm and creative activities into a shared space. Our creative festival and holiday activities make room for families, new encounters and trying something for the first time.
Coming soon: dance classes
We are developing Rise & Move dance classes for children and young people: regular opportunities to explore rhythm, learn together and build confidence through movement.
Dates, venue, age groups and registration details will be announced when confirmed.
Your voice deserves space.
We collaborate with galleries and create exhibitions and events where emerging creatives can share their work. Being at the beginning of your journey, or having limited money and access, should not mean your voice goes unheard.
We want to make room for artists to meet an audience, exchange ideas and take their next step. Chisel Studios is one of our collaborating partners as we develop plans for future exhibitions.
Create an opportunity with us
Have a gallery, a community space or an idea for an exhibition? We welcome conversations with creatives, venues and collaborators who want to make more voices visible.
Varm Vinter — Share some warmth
Our winter clothing collection is a practical way to support people who need extra warmth. We collect clean, usable winter clothing and arrange handovers directly.
Warm jackets, jumpers, trousers, hats, scarves, gloves and winter shoes can make a difference. Please give items in a condition you would be happy to receive.
Take part
Give clothing, help with collection and distribution, or offer a suitable collection space. Contact us first to arrange a handover and discuss what is needed.
Support our work
Help us make more room for creativity, connection and care. Support can be financial or practical—there are several ways to be part of the work.
Give or become a partner
Ask about making a financial contribution, supporting a programme or building a longer-term partnership. We can discuss what your support could make possible and how to contribute.
Offer materials, space or skills
Art materials, reusable supplies, workshop and dance spaces, exhibition venues, equipment, transport and practical skills can help us deliver activities. Tell us what you can offer so we can match it to a current need.
